Deric McNish was awarded Best Director of a Musical by the Lansing City Pulse. The production also won Best Choreography, Best Ensemble, and Best Music Direction. I approached this using many of the techniques I use when devising. The result was a fresh and wild interpretation. The unique collaboration between director, lighting designer, and choreographer was the subject of a paper presented at ATHE in 2016.
